Cllr Margaret Rose

"I have gained a great deal of experience and insight working with and understanding the day to day difficulties of the people of Maidstone and aiding resolutions in disputes in cases such as Neighbourhood, Parent-Teen, Anger Management and Restorative Justice within our community. I have had significant experience within" the Justice System.

Dear Fant Resident

This May I am standing as your Labour Party candidate for Fant, in the local Maidstone Borough Council Elections. I hope I can meet as many of you as possible in the coming weeks, but I also thought an introductory letter might be a good way to reach out to you first.

The Labour Party has a long and distinguished record of support on issues surrounding Welfare, Financial Support for those who need it most, Health and also Social Justice for those who suffer discrimination and inequality, for these reasons and more we can all be justly proud of what Labour has achieved and I would be delighted to discuss this with you in more detail.

I have helped the local Fant campaign team for several years and so I am aware of your concerns and hope to work to offer my support to your community in Fant.

It has always been the Labour Party’s chief concern to support YOU and YOUR FAMILY and it is my hope that if I am elected to join Maidstone Borough Council in May, I will be able to play my part to continue these initiatives within your Borough, I hope to be joining Councillor Paul Harper and Councillor Keith Adkinson in their continuing hard work and commitment to working for the ideals of Your Labour Party, which I know they as I hold most dear, and if elected I pledge to work for.

On YOUR behalf for YOU and YOUR FAMILY in Fant.

Having been a single parent on a low income I know the kind of pressure it brings. For the past twenty years I have been a Mediator for the highly respected ‘Maidstone Mediation Scheme’, in which I have gained a great deal of experience and insight working with and understanding the day to day difficulties of the people of Maidstone and aiding resolutions in disputes in cases such as Neighbourhood, Parent-Teen, Anger Management and Restorative Justice within our community. I have had significant experience within the Justice System.

I am a committed Christian, which has led me to take part in many volunteering activities, including active involvement with Aylesford Priory. I was born in Kent and I have lived in the Maidstone area for most of my life, (apart from my time serving in the Armed Forces).

I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in the coming weeks and I will be very interested to hear your thoughts and concerns on the issues that matter most to you, so that if elected I can be of the best service to you and the community of Fant.

YOU Can Count on Me, Can I Count on YOU?

Kind regards and sincere thanks for your time in reading my letter.

Margaret Rose.
